Peruvian spuds come in all sorts of colours, flesh as well as skin.
Tried purple-fleshed ones. Don't taste massively different from white-fleshed ones.
They reckon that old dinner plates frequently featured the colour blue as very few blue foods exist. But there are blue-fleshed Peruvian spuds, although I've never seen them.

Peruvian is less tampered with although at the level some of you buy it at, I'm sure it's nowhere near source standard or even one nation standard. If any of you are able to buy pure Peruvian or pure Colombian here then I'd dare say you are getting it a level or 2 up the supply chain than most.
I prefer Peruvian myself as I found too much of the Colombian was covered In the dog sniffer proof oil. Means it was flown.
Give me your good old Peruvian via an island In the carribean on some dodgy old tanker any day of the week.
